# Register new extenders

Templates for developing your own Extenders agents and listeners are located in [THIS](https://github.com/Adaptix-Framework/templates-extender) repository. Since Extenders uses goplugin technology, the core framework package versions and all extenders must be the same. Go Workspace technology is used to easily manage large numbers of extenders.

All actions are performed in the `AdaptixServer` directory.

## AxTool

From the repository root, `axtool` installs one extender into `dist/extenders` and can register it in the runtime profile:

```
axtool adaptix.spec ext install ./AdaptixServer/extenders/new_listener_extender -f
```

## Manual

1. Move your extenders in the `AdaptixServer/extenders` directory and add them to the workspace.

```
go work use extenders/new_listener_extender
go work use extenders/new_agent_extender
go work use extenders/new_service_extender
```

2. Sync Go Workspace

```
go work sync
```

3. Build the extenders and point the server profile at each `config.yaml`.

```
make extenders
```
